Fairchild’s Garden is one of Hackney’s hidden gems, tucked away next to Ye Old Ax pub. The garden is named after Thomas Fairchild, a Hoxton-based 18th century gardener, who had a passion for creating plants that would thrive in London. Secret City Garden invited local residents, communities and creatives to participate in Fairchild’s vision for creating beautiful engaging habitats in urban spaces.
Talkaoke was one of the many activities and events taking part throughout the day which included: CABINet, Gardening and Planting Workshops, Adopt Your Own Planter for Free, Alive in the City, Boules and table tennis.
