Royal Opera House: Basildon Lower Academy case study

‘In September 2010, the People Speak were commisioned to make a Talkaoke table for Basildon Lower Academy and provide training for their students in how to set it up and use it. The funding came from Creative Partnerships at the Royal Opera House. The project is still ongoing and has been very successful, becoming a model for an innovative way of enabling student voice. The Students of Basildon Lower Academy have already showcased their use of Talkaoke at two major conferences. ‘

The Basildon Lower Academy takes it’s very own Talkaoke Table out on the road a visits a local nursing home to talk with the occupants.
