We are teaming up with Spotlight youth club in Tower Hamlets to deliver a special young people’s summer session, part of Aberfeldy Stories project.
The People Speak art collective from East London is inviting you to join Talkaoke – their pop up talk show where you are in charge of the conversation. Just take a seat around the glowing table of chat, grab the mic and air your views. During this Masterclass Mikey and Margot will share creative communication skills useful in any situation: asking open questions, usefulness of tangents, exploration of assumptions, dealing with opposing views, active listening and how to generate ideas in a fun way!
During the session you will
– boost your public speaking confidence
– appreciate the skill of active listening
– learn how to speak confidently on the mic
– explore fun and creative ways of asking questions and linking different perspectives together
Who is it for?
For anybody under 25 based in Tower Hamlets (especially the Aberfeldy area) interested in public speaking, hosting a podcast or a radio show, a panel talk, carrying out interviews, or hosting a Talkaoke talk show itself!
