Fight Polarisation with Creativity! Talkaoke Workshop – Live Well Spring Festival, Manchester

March 22 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free - RSVP

We are looking for participants to join our free Talkaoke Creative Communication Workshop, part of Live Well Festival #GMLiveWell.

The workshop draws on The People Speak’s flagship talk show format – Talkaoke, where we use creativity to move the conversation forward and to imaginatively explore differences of opinions. In the age of increasing polarisation, Talkaoke events and workshops offer much needed safe space for genuine in person conversations, a chance to strengthen communication skills and become part of a community of people passionate about making our society more connected.

During the programme you will learn how to:

  • Use creativity to facilitate group conversation
  • Navigate difficult conversations without judgement
  • Listen actively and compassionately
  • Develop your public speaking and performance skills

Who is it for

Everyone is welcome. No previous experience needed. If you are curious and interested in learning new skills – this is for you!

Address

The Manchester Cathedral Visitor Centre (often referred to as the CVC or MCVC) is located at 10 Cateaton Street, Manchester, M3 1SQ, adjacent to the main Cathedral building. It sits between the Cathedral and Victoria Street.

How to join

Please send and email to Margot – margot@thepeoplespeak.org.uk with: your name and surname, mobile phone number, postcode, why are you interested in this workshop, where did you hear about it. Spots are limited so get in touch
