SUMMARY:Tower Hamlets Women’s Network Talkaoke - Online
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the first quarterly meeting of the new Tower Hamlets Women’s Network coordinated by Alternative Arts and Account3.  This online session will be facilitated by The People Speak using Talkaoke – a live television-style talk show. \nThe event and the Network membership is open to women who are local residents and women who are members of local women’s groups\, community\, arts and cultural organisations. \nThe Tower Hamlets Women’s Network is being coordinated by Alternative Arts and Account3. The aim is to raise the profile of women in the borough\, share ideas\, explore current issues and build a strong and supportive network as a resource for all local women\, providing inspiration for creating a more equal society. \nThe People Speak is an East London based group of international artists\, academics and arts practitioners with a world-class expertise in getting people to understand each other. We use performance art\, multi-media and technology to stimulate discussion\, ideas\, and actions in engaging\, interactive and fun environments. \nHow does Talkaoke work?\nIt’s simple: the Talkaoke host sits in the middle of a round table and you\, the participants\, sit at small tables close by. Each table has a mic and you are invited to talk about anything they like. Each discussion is a journey from one unexpected subject to another: it can be topical\, funny\, deep\, surreal\, and everything in between. The conversation will be visualised live by a digital illustrator!
