SUMMARY:Designing a Child-Friendly City Hybrid Talkaoke
DESCRIPTION:\nIf we are to design a city for the future\, why aren’t we consulting with its future inhabitants? \nAs part of future plans for the Aberfeldy neighbourhood in Poplar\, children from local primary and secondary schools have been mapping how they feel about their local area. The resulting Young Person’s Manifesto on open space challenges the team behind the area’s regeneration to create a truly generationally inclusive neighbourhood. \nMayor’s Design Advocate and co-founder of ZCD Architects\, Dinah Bornat and local Aberfeldy community group\, The People Speak will discuss how empowering children and young people in design brings a new perspective to how we conceive our cities\, putting playfulness and independent mobility at the heart of public realm. \n\nYou can attend in person or join us on zoom: Register here \n
